- As you move through your day, notice the racial composition of the people around you. How often are you surrounded by people of your own racial background? How does this influence your perspective on race?
Reflect on your social circle.
- Who are your 5 closest friends? What is the racial makeup of your social circle? How often do you engage in conversations about race or racism with them? What role do these conversations play in your understanding of racial justice?
How often do you talk about race or racism in your daily life?
- Consider your interactions—who are you talking to about race and racism? Are there people missing from these conversations? Why do you think that is?
Imagine an anti-racist society.
- What would it look like, and how can you contribute to making it a reality? Reflect on your role in creating an anti-racist society and the specific actions you can take toward systemic change.
