Under the BuildStrong Initiative, CYFA tailors its restorative practice, education, and advocacy programming to meet the needs of the communities we serve.
CYFA emerged from the legal system, and its mission is to create and promote the community conditions necessary for all children and youth to thrive. We work to honor Frederick Douglass’s words, “It is easier to build strong children than repair broken men.”
CYFA understands that no one organization, entity, or institution alone can redress social issues. We pride ourselves on intentional and integrated collaboration, and it is in that spirit that CYFA created its BuildStrong Initiative.
